WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an OR Scheduling Coordinator to monitor and optimize operating room utilization, coordinate urgent and emergent surgeries, and ensure proper documentation.
The role involves communication with staff, surgeons, and external schedulers, with a standard 40-hour workweek in a standard office environment. Prior scheduling experience in a medical setting is preferred.
Monitors OR Scheduled cases to ensure availability and accurate scheduling. Run equipment checks for all scheduled cases. Coordinates scheduled cases to effectively manage block utilization. Communication amongst staff, surgeons, outside schedulers, and outside entities necessary to the OR.
