Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a Clinical Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care in a hospital surgical setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will work within the Operating Room to support optimal patient outcomes and safe, compliant care.

The role requires NC RN licensure (or compact state), BLS certification, and typically involves 36 hours per week with a day schedule and onsite work. Prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact state by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the supervision of a physician and collaborates with the care team.
• Develops and executes plans of care to protect safety and achieve outcomes.
• Assesses and monitors patients per policy and procedure.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for surgical care.
• Documents care in the EMR before, during, and after the surgical encounter.
• Manages instrument and supply counts and ensures correct patient identification and consent.
