Job summary

Baptist Health in Alabama seeks an RN Shift Supervisor to assist leadership by supervising daily department activities and coordinating unit operations for quality patient care. The role includes mentoring staff and leading teams in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license with relevant trauma/ED experience and may be required to obtain additional certifications based on area. This is a regular full-time shift with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing and four (4) years of Staff Nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and two (2) years of Staff Nurse experience in the department is preferred.
• Active RN license required, BLS requried, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director or Manager through supervising the daily department activities.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate unit activities for provision of quality patient care.
• Mentor and team lead for staff; may have additional duties within scope of role.
