Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing required.
  • Advanced Life Support and BLS certifications needed within specified timeframes.

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
  2. Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
  3. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
  4. Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
  5. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  1. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  2. One or more of the following required:
    1. Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    2. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  1. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
