Wythe County Community Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room on a PRN weekday schedule (6:30 am to 3:00 pm). Join a Lifepoint Health facility committed to high-quality patient care and safety throughout the surgical continuum.

The ORRN will work with surgical teams, provide preoperative and postoperative care, ensure instrument sterility, and participate in patient education. Virginia RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS compliance are expected within specified timelines.

• Active nursing license (RN) in Virginia or Compact

Mansioni

• Assess patients prior to surgery and alleviate concerns
• Ensure sterile instruments and functional surgical equipment
• Assist surgical teams during operations and adjust treatment as needed
• Prepare the operating room for surgery with instruments and equipment
• Monitor vital signs during procedures and alert team to changes
• Provide postoperative care and education to patients and families
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Comply with health and safety regulations including infection control
