Job Summary and Qualifications

We seek an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who embodies our values by caring like family. Your role involves circulating or scrubbing, ensuring safe and effective care until transfer to recovery.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing OR instrument and equipment setup, using preference cards, anticipating surgeon needs.
• Coordinating and overseeing your room during procedures as the circulator.
• Facilitating efficient transitions between surgeries.
• Using proper body mechanics to move patients safely.
• Managing patient care and medications, including anesthesia assistance.
• Reviewing charts for completeness per documentation protocols.

Qualifications needed:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience, preferably in ambulatory surgery.
• Active RN license or appropriate compact licensure.
• Valid BCLS certification (online not accepted).
• ACLS as required.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Riverwalk Surgery Center serves the Ft. Myers community and surrounding areas, performing over 200 cases monthly, including total joint replacements with new equipment. Part of Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare.
