Job summary

Garnet Health Medical Center Middletown is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room/Surgical Services. The role features 12.5-hour days with a 6:30 am start, rotating weekend shifts, and on-call coverage during holidays and weekdays. CNA cross-campus responsibilities and equitable holiday distribution are noted.

The RN will follow NYS Nurse Practice Act, ANA ethics, and Garnet Health nursing plans, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care while contributing to a caring team environment.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Nursing License in good standing.
• Education: Associate, Baccalaureate (preferred), Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Certification: American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room and Surgical Services.
• Comply with NYS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and Nursing Quality and Safety plans.
• Ensure patient safety and deliver evidence-based nursing practice.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
