Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time role in the Surgery department. The position requires 40 hours per week with weekend rotation, call, and holiday coverage. A BSN is preferred and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state where practicing.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• BSN preferred; relevant nursing experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with care team, engage in governance and quality initiatives, and promote evidence‑based practice.
