Job summary

Qualifications

• RN must hold a current Ohio nursing license.
• BLS certification is required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty is expected within five years of eligibility.
• BSN within 5 years for nurses hired after Jan 2010.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic patient assessments and care planning.
• Communicate plans using SBAR and handoffs.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Ensure patient safety and prevent contamination; maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to emergencies with controlled, precise actions.
• Document nursing care accurately in the EMR.
