Job summary

Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV seeks an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality intra-operative care and patient advocacy within a dynamic surgical team.

You will supervise OR suite operations, prepare patients for procedures, verify identifications, and support anesthesia personnel while maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring timely turnover between cases.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nevada.
• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or higher, BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Acute Care OR or Surgical Center as an RN.
• ACLS and BLS required; PALS and Trauma/Pediatric care training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative nursing care and patient advocacy.
• Supervise OR suite and equipment; ensure sterility and readiness of supplies.
• Prepare patient physically, mentally and emotionally for surgery.
• Verify patient identification and ensure correct procedure per chart.
• Maintain OR schedule awareness and patient turnover for next case.
• Assist anesthesia provider as required and document medical records.
