Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, VA, seeks an experienced RN for the Operating Room at CNRVMC. This full-time role supports perioperative care across age groups, coordinating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient patient experiences from admission through recovery.

The ideal candidate will have a Virginia RN license, BLS-HCP, and EMR documentation skills, with strong assessment and teamwork abilities. ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications may be required depending on unit assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages in the OR.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with the surgical team.
• Document care in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Administer treatments and medications and address education needs.
• Support performance improvement and quality initiatives.
