Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed to practice in Oregon.
• Maintain BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Two years surgical nursing experience preferred; scrub and circulating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile fields.
• Ability to coordinate intra-operative care and communicate with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in support of the total surgical process.
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for effective case management.
• Supervise and direct patient care in the operating room.
• Prepare the operating room and verify sterility with instruments and supplies.
• Administer medications per physician orders and document appropriately.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout care.
• Document medical records accurately and timely.
