Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room in El Paso, Texas. This full-time staff role operates on an Evening shift and involves direct clinical patient care in the OR, supervising clinical staff, and supporting the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe nursing services.

Required: RN licensure, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and 1 year of RN experience for PRN status; BLS is required with ACLS/PALS/NRP per policy as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• 1 year of RN experience required for PRN status.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process and discharge planning.
• Supervise staff and support CNO to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care and resource management.
• Administer medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Fulfill all hospital incident command system responsibilities and emergency code procedures.
