Job summary

Northwell Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for evenings at our Valley Stream location. You will plan, implement and evaluate nursing regimens for an assigned patient load, collaborating with physicians and the health team to deliver comprehensive care.

As the primary nurse, you will monitor patient progress, educate families, maintain documentation, and respond rapidly in emergencies while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires NYS RN licensure and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. 1 year of OR experience, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Health Team members in meeting patient care needs.
• Provide patient education and ensure privacy and dignity during care.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and monitor patient condition and treatments.
• Document care and communicate changes to the Health Team.
