Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina in Orangeburg, SC seeks a new graduate or experienced RN to join the operating room team. You will provide circulating and scrub nurse services across Robotic, General, Trauma, Cancer, Vascular, Orthopedic, Gynecology, Urology, Cataracts and more.

Requirements include an active SC RN license or compact state, CPR and ACLS, and OR scrubbing/circulating experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in SC or compact state.
• CPR and ACLS certification required.
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating in the OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the patient for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment.
• Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Provides direct patient care and assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Orients and trains assigned personnel; ensures a safe OR environment.
