Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room for a full-time Day shift. You will join a fast-paced, patient-centered OR team delivering high-quality care with advanced technology.

The role includes patient assessments, timely interventions, and thorough documentation, with cross-discipline collaboration to coordinate transfers, discharges, and supportive care. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Basic Life Support required
• ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred
• Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely documentation in the medical record
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs
