Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. This full-time day-shift role emphasizes patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where nurses operate at the top of their license.

You will participate in on-call rotations with extended hours, provide postoperative and intraoperative care, and work with advanced surgical technologies within a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
