Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of OR nursing experience and state RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in the operating room for high acuity cases with timely, complex care.
• Demonstrates advanced nursing skills and critical judgment.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage care.
• Monitors equipment, documents care and patient response in the EHR.
• Prioritizes patient safety and follows established procedures and protocols.
• Communicates patient status and needs to the team and physicians as needed.
• Acts as a patient and family advocate and supports unit goals and education.
• Maintains compliance with policies and participates in professional development.
