Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, Colorado is seeking a registered nurse to assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans with the care team, administer medications safely, monitor progress, document care, and educate patients and families.

This full-time role requires RN licensure, BLS, 1+ year of medical-surgical and OR experience preferred, strong English communication, EMR/EHR proficiency, and a commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and families under stress.
• Works independently with direction from physician and management.
• Safe operation of equipment and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Proficient in English and clear written communication.
• Computer literacy and basic data entry in clinical systems.
• Knowledge to address physical, psychosocial and age-related care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Document care activities in medical records accurately.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
• Promote patient safety and apply preventive measures.
• Coordinate with healthcare team for effective care delivery.
• Maintain sterile environment and safety procedures.
• Perform IVs, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during recovery.
• Engage in quality improvement to enhance care quality and efficiency.
