University of Maryland Medical System is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care across units such as ICU and ED. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, advocate for patients and families, and support service excellence in a dynamic hospital setting.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure or eligibility, an Associate's degree (BSN preferred), 1 year of nursing experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of previous nursing experience.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required upon hire.
• Must meet all unit-specific certification requirements (PALS, ACLS, NRP)
• Must live within 30 minutes for call requirement.

Responsabilités

• Functions effectively in roles specific to unit, such as arrest team for ICU, triage for ED, etc.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care; independently advocating for patient/family needs.
• Provides high quality, safe, patient centered care with focus on exceeding service expectations.
• Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority.
• Demonstrates the ability to function in the charge nurse role.
