Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking an experienced RN for the Operating Room to deliver high-quality perioperative care. You will administer medications, manage IVs, and collaborate with surgeons and the team to support patient safety.

The role requires NYS RN licensure, BLS/ACLS certification, and 1–3 years in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Active certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum 1-3 years of RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

Responsibilities

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and documents care per policy and regulations.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to plan and adjust patient care.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Ensures safe nursing practice and guides ancillary personnel.
