This role requires MN RN licensure, circulating experience or Periop 101, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential to deliver high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Minnesota.
• Circulating experience required; Periop 101 may substitute.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication skills at various levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Perioperative nursing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesia personnel with induction.
• Prepares and positions patient for surgery.
• Maintains sterile field and monitors equipment.
• Supports patient care through nursing process documentation in EMR.
• Provides patient and family education as needed.
• Ensures case is posted and specimens handled properly.
• Advocates for patient safety and comfort.
