Job summary

Orchard Park Surgery Center is seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our team. The OR RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room.

The nurse communicates with physicians, patients, families and staff, and may participate in quality improvement projects. Qualifications include RN license, CPR and ACLS within six months, and at least one year in an intra-operative setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed in the state or possess a compact license; must obtain state license within 90 days.
  • CPR required; ACLS certification within six months of hire.
  • One year intra-operative experience.
  • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership and teaching capabilities.
  • Physically and emotionally capable of performing duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in the operating room.
  • Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and other departments.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing and participate in committees or quality improvement projects.

Orchard Park Surgery Center is seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse PRN to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY

The OR RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed in the state, or possess a compact license.
  • Compact licenses must obtain state license within 90 days of hire.
  • CPR required, advanced life support certification required within six months of hire.
  • One year experience required intra-operative setting.
