Job summary

Zunch Staffing is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide leadership and oversee the delivery of professional nursing care in the operating room. The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and teaching, ensuring proper documentation and supervision of delegated tasks.

Required: BSN, North Carolina RN license (eNLC may apply), BLS, 1 year perioperative experience (or Perioperative Fellowship). Prefer MSN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• BSN in progress accepted with commitment to complete and obtain BSN within defined timelines.
• Master's in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the operating room and oversee the delivery of professional nursing care.

Job Summary

The Operating Room RN provides leadership, facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being, and utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching. The role implements medically prescribed interventions.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.

Preferred Education: master's in nursing

Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON. Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.

Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty.

Required Experience: 1-year perioperative experience as Registered Nurse. Exception: if completed a Perioperative Fellowship Program, no prior perioperative experience is required.

Preferred Experience: 3-5 years perioperative experience. Serve as Preceptor with associated accountabilities. Successful completion of the Perioperative Fellowship Program.

Additional Information

The OR RN is expected to be on call for 40 hours per month. Shifts include on-call, day, evening, and night shifts with 12-hour shifts.

Compensation

• Minimum Salary: $24.00 per hour
• Mid Salary: $33.83 per hour
• Maximum Salary: $43.65 per hour
• Shift Differential: 2nd Shift: $4.00 per hour
• Shift Differential: 3rd Shift: $6.00 per hour
• Shift Differential: Weekend: $3.50 per hour
