OrthoVirginia, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team in Virginia.

You will circulate cases alongside orthopedic surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teammates to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout the surgical experience. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, collaboration, and precise perioperative practice in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic surgery setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• OR nursing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and surgical procedures.
• Experience circulating surgical cases.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Orthopedic surgery experience preferred. ASC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate surgical cases in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic surgery center.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure per safety protocols.
• Advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the perioperative team.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively to maintain safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with inventory management and supply levels.
