You will deliver high-quality nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff, and uphold patient safety and evidence-based practices.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS, and OR/perioperative experience. ACLS is preferred.

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Summary

• Provide outstanding perioperative nursing care in the operating room, supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety throughout all phases of surgery.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available.
• Assess and monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, and monitoring patient vitals.
• Provide patient education about surgical procedures and postoperative care.
• Document all nursing activities accurately and in accordance with facility protocols.
• Follow strict infection control and safety measures to protect patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient condition during surgery.
