Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the surgical area.

The RN is accountable for providing a safe environment for care delivery. The role features full-time days, requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and PA RN licensure; BSN preferred; OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Maintain care standards through policy, procedure and practice guidelines.
• Lead and collaborate with team to advance care and assume responsibility as needed.
• Mentor/unit nursing practice; identify learning needs of others.
• May lead a small team and contribute to shared governance.

Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care delivery in the surgical area. The professional nurse assumes responsibility for that charge and is accountable for providing a safe environment for the delivery of care to all surgical patients.

What you will do

• Employment Type/Shift: FT Days
• Practice is guided by nursing process & policy / procedure / standards.
• Maintains focused area of expertise for care / program &/or provides interventions or knowledge within niche areas of care / program.
• Advances professional / shared governance, collaborates inter & intra-professionally, delegates to others to advance care, assumes an expanded role & increased responsibility.
• May lead a small team and serve as a unit / service / program nursing practice mentor & identify learning need of others.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

• Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Operating Room experience required.
