Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist to support operating room imaging. You will perform radiographic procedures, explain techniques to patients, and ensure image quality for interpretation. The role includes mentorship and potential career growth within the Duke Health system.

Applicants must have AMA approved Radiology Technology training or ARRT certification and be eligible for ARRT certification within 12 months. Prior OR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology or ARRT Certification.
• ARRT certification or eligible within 12 months of employment.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
• Position patients and use protection as needed.
• Monitor equipment and assist with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Process images for quality and documentation for interpretation.
• Provide orientation and education to new technologists.
