Hospital Pathology Associates (HPA) is accepting applicants for an Operating Room Runner at Allina HealthCare Central Laboratory – Tenth Avenue Facility in Minneapolis. You will transport surgical specimens from the OR to the pathology lab and work alongside pathologists and lab staff.
The ideal candidate holds a pre-health bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 GPA, strong organizational skills, and comfort in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role offers exposure to diagnostic workflows and benefits.

The Opportunity
Interested in seeing what happens to a surgical specimen after it leaves the operating room?
As an Operating Room Runner, you will work directly with operating room staff and surgeons to transport surgical specimens to the pathology laboratory. You’ll gain firsthand exposure to the connection between surgery, laboratory medicine, and pathology while working alongside pathologists, pathologist assistants, and other laboratory professionals.
This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, communication, reliability, and professionalism are essential.
