Job summary

Jefferson Health’s Abington campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a part-time, day-shift basis. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, using evidence-based practice, and collaboration within inter-professional teams to ensure safety and quality in perioperative care.

The RN will participate in planning and implementing individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and work with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in state of practice (PA).
• Strong patient- and family-centered care approach.
• Cultural awareness and effective communication.
• Ability to work in inter-professional teams.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff following nursing protocols to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Develops and revises care plans with patient and designated care partner(s).
• Uses evidence-based practice and data to improve care quality and safety.
• Utilizes information technology to document, communicate, and support decision making.
• Participates in hospital and practice setting-based committees and quality improvement activities.
