Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking an experienced Operating Room Circulating Nurse to join our surgical team in Franklin, TN. You will evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide perioperative education, assist with IV therapy and preoperative meds, and participate in site verification and safety protocols.

As part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, you will ensure high-quality patient-centered care, document changes, and support continuous improvement in surgical workflow.

Qualifications

• Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• RN: Registered Nurse credential and active licensure.
• Associate Degree or higher in nursing.
• OR Circulating experience REQUIRED!

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and participate in perioperative planning.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care pathways.
• Assist with preoperative medications and IV therapy.
• Support surgical site verification, time out, and debriefing per policy.
• Monitor patient condition; recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure safe care.
