Job summary

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs seeks a qualified Registered Nurse for day shift responsibilities at the Altamonte Springs, FL campus. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, medication administration, and patient education within a collaborative team environment.

Candidates must have an Associate of Science in Nursing and six months of Operating Room experience, with current Florida licensure.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Florida license (or multi-state licensure)
• Minimum six months operating room experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients based on physiological, psychological, developmental and lifestyle factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revisit as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in the medical records
• Ensure infection control, safety and regulatory compliance in the hospital setting
• Provide emotional support to patients and families and address psychosocial needs
• Supervise and delegate care within the team to maintain quality and efficiency
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvements
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide appropriate interventions
