CHI St. Vincent in Arkansas is seeking a Surgery Nurse to prepare patients for procedures and assist in the operating room.

You will review consent forms, answer questions, perform preoperative assessments, and ensure equipment readiness while updating families on surgical progress. You will directly assist the surgeon during the procedure and must maintain focus, calmness, and good judgment under pressure.

Qualifikationen

• Unencumbered Arkansas license to practice.
• 1 year of acute care experience required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program).
• Previous surgery experience is preferred, but not required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room.
• Review consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, and perform preoperative assessments.
• Ensure equipment is ready and update family members on surgery status during the operation.
• Directly assist the surgeon during the actual surgery.
