Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is recruiting a surgery nurse at CHI St. Vincent North in Arkansas. You will prepare patients for procedures, assist in the OR, and keep family members informed about surgery status during operations.

Role requires calm, focused multitasking, sound judgment in emergencies, and compassionate patient care throughout pre-, intra-, and post-operative stages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care environment.
• Registered Nurse – Arkansas license required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our surgery nurse St. Vincent North, you will prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room to ensure they receive excellent nursing when they are at their most vulnerable.

Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, make sure the equipment is ready to go, and update family members on the surgery status during the operation. You will be expected to directly assist the surgeon during the actual surgery.

To be successful in this role you must have the ability to maintain focus while multitasking, remain calm under pressure, and exercise good judgment in emergency situations.

We are offering a $25,000 sign on bonus to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.

Pay Range

$33.25 - $44.89 /hour
