Job summary

Rochester General Hospital is seeking an OR Material Tech in Materials Management. The role supports the Operating Room by stocking and distributing supplies for case carts and sub-sterile areas, ensuring accurate inventory and timely replenishments.

Responsibilities include handling urgent shipments and maintaining orderly case carts, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a busy OR environment.

Qualifications

• One year operating room and/or supply chain experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Understanding of aseptic technique.
• One year of materials handling or applicable experience.
• Experience with mobile picking software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies required for case carts and sub-sterile area.
• Ensure excess supplies are returned to inventory and support workflow in OR.
• Build and turnover case carts within acceptable time frames.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the environment for staff and patients.
• Complete par level replenishments using the inventory management system.
