Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an on-site Endoscopy Technician to support surgical procedures and instrument handling. You will troubleshoot devices, guide care and transport of instruments, and coordinate with OR/Endoscopy teams to ensure smooth workflows.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate instrument inventories, tray accuracy, and case-cart readiness.
• Identify and upscale issues related to missing instruments or reprocessing bottlenecks.

• Act as the primary liaison between OR and SPD to ensure seamless instrument and scope reprocessing workflows
• Help coordinate instrument and endoscope inventories, tray accuracy, and case-cart readiness
• Identify and upscale issues related to missing instruments, damaged equipment, or reprocessing bottlenecks

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience required as an Endoscopy Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, or Surgical Technologist.
• Certification (preferred): CRCST / CSPDT or CER

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequentlybending/stooping/travelingand reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 25-50lbs. Working in environment with fumes, chemicals, vibrations, heat, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease

The pay range for this role is $19.88 - $30.81 USD Hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
