Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping professional for the Day shift. The role is 90% housekeeping with 10% patient care, involving transporting specimens and patients, and assisting in cardiac arrest interventions. You will clean operating rooms before and after surgeries and support turnover tasks.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; CPR or BLS certification may be required. Sign-on bonus of $1,000 is offered for this Full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Heartsaver CPR or BLS certification may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Performs preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative support to assist the nursing team caring for surgical/procedural patients.
• Transports patients to and from various areas of the hospital and assists with transfers and positioning.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment by cleaning areas, storerooms, bays, carts, and equipment.
• Transports specimens and records specimen delivery in designated log books.
• Provides respiratory support by setting up equipment for oxygen administration as needed.
• Follows department policies and reports equipment/room repairs as required.
• Supports routine unit operations to ensure smooth communication and functioning.
