Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital (NCSH) is seeking an Environmental Services Housekeeper to clean operating rooms, patient rooms, bathrooms, and offices under the EVS Supervisor. You will help maintain a sanitary, organized hospital environment while following safety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, terminal cleaning, floor care, waste removal, and adhering to hospital policies. Prior OR cleaning is highly preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in Environmental Services/housekeeping in ambulatory/surgical setting preferred.
• Operating Room cleaning experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures housekeeping supplies are stocked daily according to PAR levels.
• Floor tech: cleaning, buffering, scrubbing, and waxing floors.
• Trash pickup.
• Performs proper terminal cleaning daily per hospital policy and procedure.
• Demonstrates decontamination of clinical areas, equipment, and non-disposable supplies.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment adhering to safety and infection control requirements.
• Maintains PPE and proper attire in restricted areas including OR.
• Follows standard precautions in handling biohazardous material.
