Job summary

Jackson Memorial Hospital – Main Operating Room in Miami, FL is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse OR to deliver high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced environment. The Per Diem role supports surgical teams, emphasizing patient safety, documentation, and collaboration with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree in Nursing with 1–3 years of related experience and an active Florida RN license; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• 1–3 years of related nursing experience, preferably in OR/URO/acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates delivery of care in collaboration with physicians and other providers.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Documents all pertinent information regarding nursing care, plans and observations.
• Maintains infection control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
• Performs rounds to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provides direction to LPNs, CNAs and other staff as assigned.
