Responsibilities




  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Performs terminal cleaning procedures of the OR rooms and prepares room for next case.
  • Cleans and disinfects floors with required protocol.
  • Moves equipment and furniture in OR rooms in accordance with cleaning procedures.
  • Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
  • Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. Obtains and maintains OR cleaning certification.
  • Buffs, strips, waxes, polishes, and top scrubs floors.
  • Performs regular housekeeping duties in non-patient OR areas.
