Millenia Surgery Center in Orlando, FL is seeking a Circulating Nurse for a full-time, on-site role. You will coordinate patient care in the operating room, prepare the surgical suite, verify patient identity and consent, and ensure equipment and documentation are ready.

You will support the surgical team during procedures, maintaining sterility and patient safety, documenting intraoperative care, assisting with positioning, and coordinating transitions across perioperative areas.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Surgical Nursing and Operating Room practices, including intraoperative patient care and sterile technique.
• Experience in Perioperative nursing, with the ability to coordinate care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Solid foundation in Nursing and Medicine principles, with strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within organizational timeframe).
• Previous operating room or ambulatory surgery center experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively in urgent situations.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with patient positioning, and safely handle equipment and supplies.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient care and activities in the operating room to support the surgical team.
• Prepare the surgical suite and ensure all necessary equipment, supplies, and documentation are available and functioning.
• Maintain a sterile environment and monitor patient status during procedures.
• Communicate critical information to the care team and document intraoperative care.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers as needed.
• Manage specimen handling and ensure smooth transitions between preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative areas.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to promote patient safety and optimal outcomes.
