Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Charge Nurse - Operating Room to oversee day-to-day OR staffing and patient care. You will supervise RN and support staff, coordinate schedules, ensure safety and quality, and report to the Director. Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and at least 2 years of RN experience are required.

The role emphasizes leadership in a dynamic surgical environment with a focus on efficiency, safety, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license issued by Florida or a compact state is required.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff nurses and other personnel in the operating room.
• Plans daily work, manages staffing and call schedules for efficiency.
• Delegates patient care tasks based on competency and ability.
• Ensures logs, materials and stock orders align with management schedules.
• Recognizes and addresses capacity, supply distribution, and safety issues.
