Job summary

Kansas Surgery and Recovery Center in Wichita is seeking an Operating Room Assistant (PRN) to support daily OR operations, including preparing and organizing the environment, equipment, and supplies.

Under the supervision of the OR Manager, you will help with timely turnover between cases, maintain supply levels, and support the surgical team to ensure safe, smooth procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Position We’re seeking a dedicated Operating Room Assistant to support the daily operations in the Operating Room. This role is responsible for preparing, assembling, and organizing the operating room environment, equipment, and supplies. Under the direction of the Manager, the OR Assistant plays a key role in efficient room turnover between surgical cases and maintaining proper supply levels throughout the department. The position provides essential support to the surgical team to help ensure safe, smooth, and timely procedures.

Previous hospital experience preferred.
