Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach is seeking an Operating Room/Anesthesia Tech to transport patients of all ages to and from the surgical suite while following JCAHO, HIPAA and OSHA standards. You will assist with positioning and prepping patients for procedures, maintain OR area cleanliness, stock supplies, and support with instrument cleaning and turnover in a fast-paced environment.

This individual is responsible for transporting newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to and from the surgical suite in compliance to JCAHO, HIPAA and OSHA standards. Aids in positioning and prepping patients for all types of surgical procedures. Maintains OR area cleanliness and restocks supplies. Assists with cleaning of surgical suites. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies.

• Obtains blood and other specimens correctly and in a timely manner
• Complies with "hand-off" policy
