Landmarc Environmental Systems, LLC seeks an Operating Engineer Apprentice in Naperville, IL. Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Travel up to 100%.
• Experience operating excavator, skid steer, forklift and road trucks.
• Experience with Landfill Gas and Leachate Systems preferred.
• Ability to pass a company paid drug test.
• Must be available to work overtime when necessary.
• Valid Driver license that passes MVR policy requirement.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds regularly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, haul trucks, and skid steers.
• Excavate, move, and grade earth for trenching and pipe installation at various landfills.
• Repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties as needed.
• Complete related instruction courses and check in with instructors/supervisors.

The term of the apprenticeship is 2 years with an OJL attainment of 4000 supplemented by the minimum required 353 hours of related instruction.

Learn on‑the‑job (OJL) to operate equipment safely and efficiently to excavate, move, and grade earth for trenching and pipe installation at various landfills as well as maintain equipment.

Complete related instruction NCCER Courses online including Core: Introduction to Basic Construction Skills (85 hrs), Heavy Equipment Operations Level 1 (100 hrs), and Heavy Equipment Operations Level 2 (167.5 hrs)

Responsibilities:

• Operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, haul trucks, and skid steers
• Excavate, move, and grade earth for trenching and pipe installation at various landfills
• Repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties as needed
• Complete related instruction courses and check in with instructors/supervisors

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to safely navigate and work within a landfill environment, which includes exposure to uneven terrain, steep slopes, holes, and other physical hazards. The position requires regular walking, climbing, and standing on varied ground surfaces in outdoor conditions.
• The ability to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, bend, lift, and squat repeatedly for up to eight hours a day.

Wage Schedule:

• Entry - $18/hr
• Intermediate - $20/hr (2000+ OJL hours completed)
• End - $22/hr (4000 OJL hours and 353 hours of related instruction completed)

• Equipment Operation skills- excavator, skid steer, forklift and road trucks.
• Experience with Landfill Gas and Leachate Systems Construction practices preferred
• Ability to pass a company paid drug test
• Must be available to work overtime when necessary
• Valid Driver license that passes our MVR policy requirement is required
• The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Preferably Proficient in Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel and Outlook)
