Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems at an on-site San Francisco property. The shift runs 1:00pm–9:30pm, Monday through Friday, with on-site presence required.

The role requires 3+ years in repair and maintenance, trade or college education, and EPA certification or plan to achieve it within the first year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or intent to achieve within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable using ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS work orders daily and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations as applicable.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.

Operating Engineer

What this job involves: Develop your engineering career at JLL! The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

Schedule: 1:00pm-9:30pm Monday through Friday

What your day-to-day will look like

• Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

Other projects and tasks to be assigned.

Required Qualifications

Expected compensation for this position: 159,120.00 – 159,120.00 USD per year. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Location: On-site –San Francisco, CA
