Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems at our Nashville site. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends/on-call as needed.

The candidate should have 3+ years of related experience, be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and hold or pursue Universal CFC EPA certification. MS Office and CMMS proficiency are required to manage tasks and service requests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing and HVAC system work.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations as needed.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.

The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. Schedule: Monday through Friday. Weekends and overtime as needed with a rotating on-call schedule. **What your day-to-day will look like:** * Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)* Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests* Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks* Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)* Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls* Comply with all safety procedures* Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs* Other projects and tasks to be assigned **On-site presence required** **Required Qualifications:** * 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry* Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable* Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)* Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs* Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall* Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive* Strong customer service skillsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
