Job summary

The Timberline Group is seeking a skilled software developer in St. Louis to advance cloud-native applications. The role emphasizes Python development and managing containerized services in CI/CD pipelines.

You'll work with Kubernetes and Docker, integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, and contribute to open source collaborations. A CS degree and 2+ years in Python/Go/Java are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or related field is desirable.
• 2+ years experience with Python, Java, Go or similar languages.
• Experience developing HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud) and databases like PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

Development Experience -

• Dev in Opensource community e.g. Openstack, Github, CICD, etc.
• Strong development background in Python and GoLang

Position’s most critical responsibilities -

• Strong development background on Python
• Experience on Kubernetes or Dockers

Desirable qualifications -

• BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant job experience.
• Minimum of 2-year experience with Python, Java, Go, or similar development languages.
• Extensive knowledge in different programming or scripting languages like Go, Scala, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Bash, Python and/or R.
• Experience developing HTTP APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) that serve up data in an open source technology, preferably in a cloud environment.
• Ability to build and maintain modern cloud architecture, e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Experience with code versioning and dependency management systems such as GitHub, SVT, and Maven.
• Proven success utilizing Docker to build and deploy within a CI/CD Environment, preferably using Kubernetes.
