Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced OpenShift/Kubernetes Engineer to lead and execute migration of containerized workloads from ClearDATA to Landing Zone (LZ). The role involves deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications on OpenShift, collaborating with multiple teams to plan migrations, and performing Active OpenShift cluster administration.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in IT with 3+ years in Kubernetes/OpenShift, strong Linux skills, and

Qualifications

5+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift Administration and Operations.
Strong practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
Expertise in container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
Experience in migrating containerized applications across environments or cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture, cluster operations, workload management, and troubleshooting.
Experience with container networking, ingress, routes, storage classes, persistent volumes, and security policies.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong Linux administration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute migration of containerized workloads from ClearDATA to Landing Zone (LZ).
Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and support applications running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
Work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, delivery teams, and other stakeholders to plan and execute migrations.
Analyse existing containerized applications and recommend migration strategies.
Perform OpenShift cluster administration and operational support activities.
