Job summary

Acuity is seeking a System Engineer II to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure with a focus on OpenShift, GitOps, and container technologies. This role manages cluster lifecycles, CI/CD pipelines, ACM, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, and security.

The System Engineer II collaborates with engineers and developers to automate processes, improve platform reliability, and ensure infrastructure security, scalability, and availability while supporting ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2–5 years systems engineering or infrastructure support.
• Experience with OpenShift, containers, and automation preferred.
• Strong scripting and configuration management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with senior engineers to design and implement systems meeting performance, scalability, availability, and security requirements.
• Participates in integration of new systems and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
• Ensures system designs meet availability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
• Works with development, security, and operations to align systems with objectives and requirements.
• Performs regular system maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and backups.
• Implements automation tools and scripts to improve administration tasks.
